How it behaves
Exactly what the prompt builds — every timing and easing is specified, so the result matches the demo.
The card
- A cream polaroid, tilted -5.9° at rest, with a photo on top, a short caption under it, and a small row at the bottom: a place label on the left (like // Assagaon) and a line of > arrows on the right.
- It sizes itself to the width of its box (never wider than 641px). Everything inside is measured against that width, so the card looks identical at any size. It keeps a 641 × 792 shape.
Tilt (mouse and pen only)
- Moving over the card's box tips it toward the pointer: 14° of range from top edge to bottom edge (so up to 7° either way) and 16° from left edge to right edge (up to 8° either way). The pointer at the exact centre means flat.
- The motion is smoothed: each frame the card closes 14% of the remaining distance to where it should be, so it glides and never snaps.
- A soft white glare (a radial highlight blended into the paper) follows the pointer. It fades in when the pointer arrives and out when it leaves (0.4s).
- The drop shadow under the card moves the opposite way to the tilt, so the card feels lifted.
- When the pointer leaves, the tilt, glare and shadow ease back to rest.
- The stamp sits 60px in front of the card, so it moves more than the photo as the card tips.
Stamp slam
- The stamp is hidden until the card is at least half on screen. Then it drops from 2.6× size, rotated 22°, blurred, with a long soft shadow, to its real size (about 0.42s, accelerating), squashes (wider and flatter) for a moment, then settles (0.3s, with a small overshoot).
- At the moment it lands, an ink ring grows from 0.7× to 1.6× and fades out (0.6s), and the card dips 4px and bounces back.
- Scrolling the card out of view resets it, so it plays again the next time you reach it. Fallbacks: touch screens and other devices that can't hover get no tilt (the card stays flat, so scrolling is never hijacked) but still get the stamp slam. With "reduce motion" on, there is no tilt, no slam and no glare: the card and its stamp are simply there.
